About Us

Ihor N. Suszko, DDS, MAGD, FADI

Dr. Suszko has been a dentist in Ohio for 28 years. A graduate of The Ohio State University in 1980 with a doctor of dental surgery degree, he also holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Toledo, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

His post graduate education includes extensive studies in many disciplines. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry and in 2003 was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry International.

Dr. Suszko is a faculty member at Lorain County Community College, serving as an assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene program. He lectures on topics that cover pharmacology, dental materials, and oral anatomy.

Dr. Suszko is a founding member and president of the Cap Haitien Dental Institute, a nonprofit, private agency providing direct care to people of Cap Haitien, Haiti. Additionally he supports the local North Haiti Dental Association with education and professional support. He has traveled frequently to Haiti since 2001. In addition he leads mission teams of new volunteers to engage in the direct oral health care for residents of Haiti.

Active in many local organizations, Dr. Suszko has lived in Vermilion with his wife, Marilou for 25 years. They have two grown children.

Support Staff

The practice's registered dental hygienists have over 20 years combined experience. Graduates of the Ohio State University and Owens Technical Community College they are licensed, certified to practice independently and administer local anesthesia. Board certified dental assistants have successfully completed the Expanded Function Dental Assistant program from Case Western Reserve University and are licensed to restore teeth. The practice business manager is experienced in business administration and patient care.
